Three CNCs, two laser cutters power K-M Tools
Jonathan Katz-Moses

Jonathan Katz-Moses, founder of K-M Tools, takes people on a tour of his automated production facility in a recent video.

K-M Tools in Goleta, California, is a woodworking tool company that was born out of a YouTube channel.

Founder Jonathan Katz-Moses followed his passion and went from making small jewelry boxes in 2014, to running a 5,000 sq ft woodworking shop with more than 11 paid staff, according to the K-M website. Along the way, he started a YouTube channel to share tips and tricks. It grew to some 400,000 subscribers and 45 million views.

Katz-Moses was also an inventor, creating clever jigs and fixtures to help people in their woodworking activities. He began selling quality tools and his jigs and fixtures as K-M Tools.

Today, the company is a sophisticated operation, offering a wide variety of products, some from major manufacturers and many produced in the K-M factory. That plant has grown into a sophisticated operation with three Laguna Tools CNC routers and two Bestcutter laser machines.

In a recent video, Katz-Moses takes you on a detailed tour of the plant, talking about how his CNC production has evolved and how his products are made, packed, and shipped.

In addition, the Katz-Moses story goes beyond woodworking products. He also founded the Katz-Moses Woodworkers with Disabilities Fund that supports woodworkers with disabilities in their hobbies passions and careers.
