Thru-feed machining center
The CNC Face/4-edges router from Castaly Machine is a thru-feed machining center that the company says is an economical and productive CNC Machining Solution that will meet many customers' needs., The company says the machining center is suited for 3-dimensional wood processing, cupboard Doors, wooden doors, window processing, video game cabinets, door lite cutting, and steel door processing.
It features horizontal and vertical spindles for top and side stock processing. The machine is designed and ready for 3-D cutting usage and superior performance. It has a moving gantry construction for space saving and a rigid steel frame construction that has been stress relieved prior to finish machining to provide repeatability and accuracy. An automatic frequency brake for the spindle allows rapid deceleration resulting in faster tool changes, and linear guides and sliding blocks are prismatic pre-loaded with recirculation bearings to ensure maximum rapid traverse and precision. The X & Y axis is equipped with a precision rack & pinion driving system. The Z axis utilizes a ball screw assembly complete with the pre-loaded and ground screw for long life and optimum accuracy.
The machine features a DSP CNC controller that is set up to accept standard G-code programming formats along with onboard conversational applications. An optional CAD/CAM system can create and edit part programs and then send them to the machine for easy cutting. DXF files can be imported, modified, and edited to create a G-code.
