Memphis Urban Wood upcycling project officially withdrawn from consideration
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Plans to develop a sawmill operation to convert local felled trees into lumber and other value-added products were formally withdrawn at last week’s meeting of the Memphis City Council.The decision by Memphis Urban Wood and its partner, The Works Inc. (TMI), to remove the project from consideration means that it cannot be reintroduced to the city council for five years.
